"We don't cut corners in boat construction, striving always to make them better than they have to be."

No, Pemaquid Marine has not branched out into home construction, but soon after purchasing the yard in the fall of 2009 a new wood shed was erected in which to store materials for our wooden boat construction and restoration projects.

Our first major project during the 2009 winter was a 27' birdwatcher-style sharpie schooner designed by Phil Bolger.  Indian Summer was launched in early fall 2010.

See our photo gallery for additional photos.

Along with the on-going new construction project, we also performed a intensive interior and exterior paint and brightwork spruce-up on a

Formosa 44 in addition to her regular seasonal maintenance.

We also did a deck replacement on a Cape Dory sailboat.

This web site is also a work in progress.  It will continue to change and be updated as our shop projects move forward.  Plans are in the works for an entirely new site along with the development of a blog in an effort to provide more timely updates on our projects.
