Pemaquid Harbor is located off Johns Bay on the west side of the Pemaquid Peninsula about three miles north of Pemaquid Point and eight miles northeast of Damariscove Island. Pemaquid Harbor offers the simple historic charm that Maine is known for. This quiet and picturesque harbor is a rewarding place to rest along your coastal cruise.
We have several conveniently located rental moorings for transient guests as well as several well protected moorings for long term guests.

Our shop is not on the water, but we are in close proximity and can personally meet you on the dock or at your boat. All of our moorings are a short distance to dinghy docks and restaurants with docking.
While there is plenty to enjoy in Pemaquid Harbor, there are unfortunately no fuel or water services. The closest fuel dock is a short boat ride across the bay to the South Bristol Fisherman’s Co-op, open 8am-6pm daily. There you will find gas, diesel, ice, and a few provisions.

Our moorings can accommodate most boats up to 50’ and are reserved on a first come, first served basis.
Please call or email us to reserve your mooring!

ABOUT THE AREA

Established in the early 17th Century, Pemaquid Harbor was one of the earliest European outposts in North America, as well as a Native American settlement dating back thousands of years. Today it remains a small community with a bustling summer season full of small boats, kayakers, fishermen, and history enthusiasts.

Dining

There are two restaurants in the harbor, each with access from the shore. On the south side, within the state park, the Contented Sole is a popular locale for both locals and tourists, noted for it’s outdoor setting and charming ambience. At the end of the pier is a large public dock for day use.

On the north side of the harbor, just up the hill is Pemaquid Seafood, a popular dog-friendly spot with indoor and outdoor seating. Great for large groups with dogs who wish bring a picnic basket and enjoy the gorgeous views of the harbor and out past John’s Bay.
